Imprint Cutter

Cut a shape and press its interior details into the surface.

An Imprint Cutter combines an outside cutting blade with shallower interior geometry. The interior lines press the traced artwork into dough, fondant, clay, or another soft material.

Use an Imprint Cutter when

  • The outside silhouette and interior lines should be applied together.
  • You want a single printable piece instead of a separate stamp.
  • The interior details are wide enough to print and clean.

If the uploaded design has no separate interior paths, Cookiecad may produce the same geometry as a basic Cutter.

Useful settings

Use Imprint to control depth, curves, inversion, and traced edges. Blade and Handle control the cutting side of the tool. The Experimental imprint-thickness control can help make very thin traced details printable.
