Center Bar Settings

Center bars bridge parts of a design that would otherwise print or move as disconnected pieces. They are available on compatible cutter types and hidden for Cutter + Stamp, Stamp, Practice Cookie, Sandwich Cutter, and Cake Topper.

Enable center bars

Turn on Enable to add and edit bars. Existing older horizontal and vertical bar settings are loaded into the current bar list when possible.

Bar angle

Angle rotates a bar from 0° to 179°. Use different angles to cross the design in the direction that supports the required pieces.

Bar position

Position moves a bar from 0% to 100% across the cutter. Check the preview because the most useful position depends on the traced shape.

Bar width

Width sets the thickness of that bar in millimeters. Wider bars are stronger but cover more open area.

Add and remove bars

Choose Add bar to create another independently positioned bar. Use the delete icon beside a bar to remove it.

Force solid

Cookiecad normally leaves gaps where a bar does not need to support a disconnected part. Force solid keeps each configured bar continuous. It requires Premium.
