Mirror & Appearance
Mirror one design, generate a paired orientation, and change the 3D preview.
These controls affect orientation and preview appearance.
Mirror
Cookiecad's normal output is oriented so the final cut shape matches the uploaded image. Mirror reverses the generated design, which is useful for creating matching left and right tools. It requires Premium.
Mirrored Pair
Mirrored Pair generates the current orientation and its opposite together in one downloadable model. It is available for Cutter, Imprint Cutter, Stamp, and Cutter + Stamp and requires Premium. If Mirror is also on, the two pieces swap sides.
Compound and layout-based types such as Cutter Set, Sandwich Cutter, Cake Pop Mold, Texture Roller, Cake Topper, Stencil, Practice Cookie, and Multi Cutter do not support Mirrored Pair. The Designer explains the restriction when the control is unavailable.
Pair spacing
Pair spacing is the gap between the two generated parts' bounding boxes. The default is 10 mm. Positive values keep the pieces separate; zero makes them touch; negative values overlap and join them into one printable solid.
The slider covers -20 mm through 50 mm. You can enter another finite value directly. Downloads generated with this option use a _pair filename suffix.
Material
Material changes the 3D preview shader, not the downloaded model or physical print material. Choose Studio Matte, Glossy, Rainbow, or Porcelain. Studio Matte is the default.
Highlight edges
Highlight edges draws important mesh boundaries in the preview. It is on by default and does not change exported geometry.
