Imprint Settings
Control interior depth, curved profiles, inversion, and traced imprint edges.
Imprint settings appear for Imprint Cutter and compatible legacy solid designs.
Imprint depth
From blade (0 is flush) positions the interior imprint relative to the cutting edge. Larger values place it farther back from the blade. The default is 4.5 mm.
Imprint base width
Base width adds supporting material around the interior imprint geometry. The default is 1.5 mm. It is hidden when Remove base under imprint is enabled.
Depth curve
Choose Flat, Dome, Round, or Chamfer. A non-flat curve also exposes its direction and whether it applies to holes, fills, or both.
Curve inset controls the horizontal distance of Dome and Chamfer curves. Round uses the available depth as its radius. Cookiecad warns when the available imprint depth limits a curve. Depth curves require Premium.
Invert
Invert swaps the interior regions that emboss and deboss. It requires Premium and is disabled while a non-flat depth curve is active.
Remove base under imprint
This removes supporting material below the interior imprint. It can help thick imprints or small cutters that do not need the extra base. It requires Premium.
Edges only
Edges only generates cutter walls along all imprint edges. While active, depth, base, depth-curve, and delete-outer-edge controls are disabled because those values do not apply to the edge-only geometry.
Delete outer edge
Delete outer edge removes a supported outer traced boundary while keeping the remaining detail. It is available only when the design contains nested shapes inside a single complete outline and requires Premium.
The default Preserve outline method keeps the original silhouette while retaining more interior detail. The earlier Offset inward behavior remains available under Experimental settings.
