Texture Roller

Wrap a repeated raised or engraved design around a printable roller.

A Texture Roller repeats the uploaded design across a cylinder so it can emboss or engrave dough, fondant, clay, and other soft material. It requires Cookiecad Premium.

How the roller is built

  • Source Size scales one copy of the uploaded design before it is repeated.
  • Along length repeats determine the roller length.
  • Around roller repeats determine its circumference and diameter.
  • Raised patterns project from the roller; Engraved patterns recess into it.
  • Blank padding separates copies, while optional end rims and an axle hole prepare the roller for a handle or frame.

The repeated flat pattern wraps continuously across the cylinder seam. Brick and Mirror layouts use an even number of around-roller repeats when more than one repeat is requested, so an odd value is increased by one to close the pattern cleanly.

Configure it

Use Size to scale or rotate the source design. Use Texture Roller settings to control the layout, relief, rims, and axle hole.

Pattern height and depth curves are shared with the Designer's Stamp controls and are explained in the Texture Roller settings reference.
