Name Plate Settings

Attach raised text on a rectangular or text-shaped backing plate.

Name Plate adds a labeled plate to the generated model. It is available on every type except Stencil and requires Premium.

Enable the name plate

Turn on Enable to include the plate. Turning it off preserves the entered values but removes the plate from the model.

Output sides

Cutter + Stamp can add the plate to the cutter, stamp, or both. Cake Pop Mold can add it to the mold, plunger side, or both.

Text

Enter one or more lines for the label. For a Cake Topper, this text can become the main design when Use uploaded image is off.

Font

Choose a supplied font. Wider or heavier fonts are generally easier to print at small sizes.

Font size

Font size is measured in points and defaults to 20 pt.

Line spacing

Distance between lines is measured in points and defaults to 1.5 pt.

Backing shape

  • Rectangle places the text on a padded rectangular plate.
  • Offset text follows an outline grown outward from the text.

Rectangle is the default.

Padding

Horizontal and vertical padding appear for a rectangular backing. Defaults are 3 mm horizontally and 1.5 mm vertically.

Backing offset

Offset around text appears for an Offset text backing. It controls how far the backing grows beyond the letter shapes and defaults to 3 mm.

Plate thickness

Thickness controls the backing plate in millimeters and defaults to 3.5 mm. Cake Topper uses its shared base height instead, so this field is hidden there.

Overlap

Overlap controls how far the plate intersects the cutter, stamp, mold, or image backing. Positive values strengthen the connection; negative values move the plate away. The standard default is 0.8 mm.

Raised text height

Raised text height controls how far the letters rise above the plate. The default is 0.6 mm.

Plate position

Position moves each name plate around its associated outline from -100% to 100%, starting at the bottom-most point. The default is 0%.
